(ELGIN) A suspect is in custody after an apparent barricade situation Monday morning in northwest suburban Elgin.
Officers responded to an incident in the 1000 block of Dundee Road before 7 a.m. and shut down traffic in both directions, according to Elgin police.
About 8:10 a.m., police said the situation had been resolved safely and a suspect was taken into custody. Additional information was not immediately released.
