(CHICAGO) The 57th annual Air and Water show is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on Chicago’s lakefront, between Fullerton and Oak Street beach.

Lt. Ryan Chamberlain is one of the Navy’s Blue Angel pilots. The Bloomington native told John Howell on WLS earlier this week, that it’s not all about hot dogging it like many people might think. “We like to put on a good show but you know it’s funny, people will think that we’re out there goofing off and buzzing them on purpose, but our show is action packed, it’s 45 minutes long and when we land we don’t have much gas left, so we don’t have opportunities to just do that impromptu, unfortunately.”
Headliners include the Blue Angels, and the Army Golden Knights parachute team. There are 17 groups set to perform – five military and 11 civilian.
