(CHICAGO) The remains of a woman’s body were found outside of an abandoned home in Gary, Indiana Tuesday night.
At about 7 p.m., police were investigating a foul smell coming the home in the 4000 block of Broadway, where they found the body “in the early stages of decomposition,” according to a statement from Gary police.
The woman was not identified Tuesday night, police said.
The case is being investigated as a death investigation pending autopsy results.
