(CHICAGO) With over 45,000 runners and thousands of spectators lining the 26.2 mile course, the Chicago Marathon is underway. Despite sunny and pleasant temperatures at the start, as the day goes on, it’s expected to warm up to the mid-70’s, which is a concern for marathon officials.
The marathon leaderboard shows the top finisher was Dickson Chumba from Kenya, with an unofficial time of 2:09:25.
