Chicago recorded its first subzero temperatures of the winter Monday morning, with wind chills as low as minus-20 in some areas and a few inches of snow expected later in the day.
No one had the winning numbers in the Powerball drawing on Saturday. The jackpot will increase to well over $1 billion on Wednesday. Interestingly enough, you could actually buy every possible number combination for about $580 million. Of course if you ended up sharing those numbers with someone, you’d be in big trouble.
Drug kingpin El Chapo was re-captured in Mexico, months after he escaped from prison. Actor Sean Penn also released an interview he did with El Chapo while he was in hiding. Authorities aren’t happy with Penn because he was in contact with El Chapo while he was a fugitive. David Bowie, the innovative and iconic singer whose illustrious career lasted five decades with hits like “Fame,” ”Heroes” and “Let’s Dance,” died Sunday after an 18-month battle with cancer. Hillary Clinton was on Face the Nation with John Dickerson and was asked if her husbands personal foibles are fair game for the 2016 election. She said that’s totally up to Republicans, if that’s the kind of campaign they want to run. I could be wrong, but I believe at this point Donald Trump is the only one who has brought it up. I think the rest have more or less avoided the subject.
Producer Keith Conrad finished watching Making A Murderer on Netflix over the weekend, he says that they left out a lot of key evidence that Steven Avery did in fact most likely kill Teresa Halbach.
