(CHICAGO) A 90-year-old woman was found dead in a driveway in the Roseland neighborhood Monday morning.
Nellie Gordon was found about 8:40 a.m., lying in a driveway in the 9100 block of South Michigan, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
At 9 a.m., the temperature at Midway International Airport was 4 degrees, with a minus 11 wind chill, according to the National Weather Service.
It was not known Monday night how long Gordon, who lived on the same block, had been outside.
Area South detectives have opened a death investigation and Gordon’s autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
