Temperatures dropped overnight creating dangerous conditions across the city. The National Weather Service says a Wind Chill Advisory will go into effect at 9 p.m., with wind chills ranging between 15 and 25 below zero. The advisory will remain in effect until Monday at noon.
President Obama is calling the deal with Iran and release of the 4 American prisoners a victory for “strong American diplomacy.” He says that we’ve accomplished more in a few months of talking than we did with years of sanctions.

Some are calling it an issue of transparency, but a number of misconduct reports have no merit and releasing them could put innocent officers at risk. One of the Oregon refuge occupiers has been arrested. He decided it was a good idea to go on a grocery run with one of the government vehicles from the wildlife refuge.
Sean Penn appeared on 60 Minutes tonight to discuss and defend his surprise interview with El Chapo while he was on the run. He responded to criticism of his interview by asking where all the reporters criticizing him have a license that officially makes them a journalist.
During the Cubs Convention over the weekend, the team announced that there will be metal detectors at all entrances. They are advising people to just plan on arriving early from now on when they go to games. The Cubs would also like to look at the idea of closing Clark and Addison during games to give a little bit of a buffer against any would-be security threats.
