(SPRINGFIELD) Gov. Bruce Rauner gives the annual State of the State address today.
It comes at a time when Illinois is operating without a budget and a ton of debt. So what can we expect?
“We’ve had many, many important achievements this past year, we’ve talked about some of them them we’ll talk about more in the speech,” Rauner said. “We’ll also talk about our challenges and our failings so far and lay out a game plan for what we want to do in the coming 12 months.”
Since taking office a year ago Rauner has tried to push through his “Turnaround Agenda,” a plan that doesn’t have traction with Democrats.
Rauner delivers his address at noon.
