(CHICAGO) Governor Bruce Rauner brushing off his noisy critics.
Noisy demonstrators are an almost daily occurrence these days, protesting Rauner on various human services, but he says they’re not telling the truth.
”During these stressful times of change there’s a lot of misinformation flying around and a lot of emotion in the rhetoric flying around and I think it’s helpful to take a deep breath and just deal with facts and stay methodical,” Rauner said. “If yelling or making accusations solved problems, Illinois would not have any problems.”
Rauner said there is a potential deal for human services, indeed a grand bargain for a two year state budget and he’s cautiously optimistic it can happen before the end of the legislative session at the end of May.
