(PHILADELPHIA) Hillary Clinton has become the first woman to accept a major-party nomination for president.
As the balloons and confetti fell, Hillary Clinton stood with her family, her running mate, and Senator Tim Kaine’s family by her side. This, after telling the crowd here at the Wells Fargo center, “My friends, it is with humility, determination, and boundless confidence in America’s promise that I accept your nomination for President of the United States.”

Clinton also thanked Bernie Sanders and the many others who spoke about her, at the convention this week.
U.S. Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth made an appearance on the final night of the DNC. The veteran who is in a tight race with Republican U.S. Senator Mark Kirk told a packed house, “Donald Trump, I didn’t put my life on the line to defend our democracy so you could invite Russia to interfere in it. You, you are not fit to be the Commander-in-Chief.”
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi tried to rally the troops, “Are you ready to make history by electing Hillary Clinton President of the United States? I thought so. Onward to victory!”
