(CHICAGO) A man was critically wounded in a Lake View neighborhood shooting Monday night on the North Side.

About 8:35 p.m., witnesses heard gunfire and then found the 27-year-old man in an alley in the 3200 block of North Racine with a gunshot wound to the left side of the neck, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
