(CHICAGO) In the race for Senate, challenger Tammy Duckworth is calling U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk “unhinged” for likening President Obama to a “drug dealer in chief” in his relations with Iran.
At the City Club of Chicago, Duckworth all-but-called Kirk crazy.
“Sen. Kirk has just joined the rogues gallery for the president’s fiercest and most unhinged critics. And for that he should be ashamed,” Duckworth said.
And afterwards with reporters, Duckworth would not retreat.
“I do think he’s unhinged. To call the Commander in Chief, basically comparing him to a drug dealer, I think that is a significant thing for a United State Senator to say. I mean this is the same man who called one of his colleagues a “bro with no ho”. It’s not befitting of a United States Senator.”
Duckworth the called on Kirk to apologize.
