(CHICAGO) Chicago State University trustees, today, will vote on a “separation agreement” for the school’s president.
It has been a rough year for Chicago State University – a school that heavily relies on state funding. The budget impasse hit the south side school hard, forcing layoffs of 40-percent of the staff. The schools’ future was even called into question.
Now, nine months after accepting the position of President, Thomas Calhoun Jr. is on the way out. He had a contract until January 2021.
Calhoun replaced former President Wayne Watson, who retired last year.
An interim president is expected to be announced today.
