(CHICAGO) Chicago Ald. Carrie Austin (34th) is expected to issue a statement Tuesday regarding the arrest of her grandson on murder charges.
Kenneth Austin was arrested Feb. 8th based on a warrant from Louisville, Kentucky in connection with a fatal shooting there last month.
A spokesman for the alderman on Monday confirmed Kenneth Austin is Carrie Austin’s grandson and said Austin will issue a statement Tuesday.
Kentucky officials say Kenneth Austin has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, robbery, tampering with evidence and more, related to the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man during a robbery Jan. 30 in Louisville.
Kenneth Austin is being held at the Cook County Jail.
