(CHICAGO) A third man has been charged in a shooting that killed two people, including a toddler.
A pregnant woman was also wounded, in the Valentine’s Day shooting, which Cook County prosecutors now say was in retaliation for an earlier murder.
Jeremy Ellis, 19, of Chicago has been charged with murder and attempted murder in the shooting that killed 2 year old Lavontay White and Lavontay’s uncle, 26 year old Lazaric Collins. Prosecutors say the gunmen believed that Collins had been involved in the killing of a relative.
Earlier today, Dionel Harris, 19, was charged with first degree murder and denied bail, as was Devon Swan, 26, who, last week, was charged with murder in the same shooting.
The February 14 shooting happened in a West Side alley and was partially captured on a Facebook Live video being streamed by the pregnant woman.
