(CHICAGO) Chance the Rapper met with Governor Bruce Rauner today, but while Rauner thought it was productive, it sounds like Chance did not.
The two met at the governor’s Chicago office to talk about education and education funding. After the meeting, Rauner’s told reporters that they had a “good exchange of views on what the options are, what the possibilities are.”
But Chance had this take.
“He gave me a lot of vague answers, so we’ll see that happens. He has my personal number.”
The rapper, who hales from the West Chatham neighborhood, met with Rauner for about 30 minutes. He says his main message to Rauner is to “take our kids off the table.” Chance asked to meet with Rauner about education after the governor had tweeted congratulations on his Grammy award win.
