(CHICAGO) Mayor Rahm Emanuel is reacting to President Donald Trump’s revised immigrant screening order.
Mayor Emanuel is out of town, but none the less, out with a statement criticizing Trump’s new rules. He says they are “nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing: different packaging intended to achieve the same result.” It is, said the mayor, “a betrayal of our nations values that our government would slam the door on refugees fleeing war death and unimaginable conditions, that our government would divide families and that out government would attempt to exclude people based on their religion.”
