(CHICAGO) A private Jewish school on Chicago’s North Side was evacuated this morning after a bomb threat.
Officials say a bomb threat was called into the Chicago Jewish Day School just after 9 a.m. Tuesday. The school, located in the 5900 block of Sheridan Road, was evacuated while officers searched for a potential threat. The all clear was given just after 11 a.m. Officials did not find a threat.
There were several evacuations across the nation today. It’s the sixth wave of bomb threats delivered to Jewish organizations since the beginning of the year.
For the second time in a month, authorities were dealing with a bomb threat phoned into the Posnack Hebrew Day School in Davie, Florida. Bomb sniffing dogs were part of the response to determine if the threats were real or a hoax.
Other bomb threats were reported in Whitefish Bay Wisconsin and Brighton, New York.
