Charges Filed in Bleach Death

(CHICAGO) A Chicago woman is due in bond court Thursday on charges that she killed her boyfriend by forcing him to drink a caustic substance.

Yasmine Elder and her boyfriend Darrius Ellis reportedly got into a fight on Monday morning. A police source tells the Chicago Tribune that Edler forced bleach down her boyfriend’s throat.

He was later found unresponsive on the sidewalk near 65th and South Bishop and pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital.

Elder is charged with first-degree murder.
