(CHICAGO) After making the playoffs but being finished off by the Celtics in four straight, in the first round, Bulls Executive Vice President John Paxson tells reporters, “We saw what you saw and a lot of our fans saw and that is inconsistency in our play and really a team that was searching for an identity much of the season.”
But Paxson says with regards to head coach Fred Hoiberg’s future, “We knew Fred was coming back. Fred is our coach and we have to continue to support him. We have to continue to give him the resources he needs to be successful and that’s on us, and that’s what we’re diving into everyday now. That’s our responsibility and we’ll do it.”
The Bulls front office hopes to have Rajon Rondo back and plans to sit down with Dwyane Wade and discuss their plans going forward. Jimmy Butler, of course, is still under contract.
