(CHICAGO) The FBI says it has caught a man responsible for robbing three North Side banks in less than a week.
Feds say Eric Hanson of Blue Island walked into the Byline Bank Branch on the 1400 block of West Belmont on May 13th, handed the teller a note, and took off with approximately $1,300 dollars.
Three days later, the Byline Branch on the 3400 block of North Western was robbed. The teller described the robber as having two “X”s tattooed behind his left ear.
It wasn’t until pictures of the suspect were posted online that someone called the FBI and identified the robber as Hanson. Hanson also has two “X’s” tattooed behind his left ear. He was tracked down to a Motel 6 in Elk Grove Village on Saturday and arrested.
The FBI says he admitted to robbing the three banks. A judge had ordered him to remain in custody
