(CHICAGO) At City Hall, the proposal to compel businesses to let people who’ve really gotta go use their restrooms without having to buy anything, may be unnecessary.
The alderman behind the proposal – David Moore – says he’s being told that his idea may already be enforceable because there may be legal language on the books now. Either way, he’s demanding enforcement, saying “It’s a big deal because no one should ever be in a position where they embarrass themselves by going to the bathroom on themselves.”
Moore said he’s had trouble getting access to restrooms without buying something even after flashing his alderman’s badge.
