(CHICAGO) Four men are dead and at least 30 other people have been wounded in shootings across Chicago between late Friday and Monday afternoon.
Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, 26-year-old Felipe Batista Jr. was killed and another man was wounded in a Belmont Central neighborhood shooting on the Northwest Side. Two hours earlier, Jeremy Tang, 20, was found shot in the chest in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side. He later died at a hospital.
Around 5 a.m. Saturday a man was found shot to death, on North Waller, in the West Side Austin neighborhood and some four hours earlier, James McChristian, 26, died while sitting on a porch with friends near 83rd and South Hermitage and 3 people got out of a car and opened fire.
According to Sun Times at least 435 people have died in gun violence since the start of this year.
Also, Illinois State Police say that a man was shot while changing a tire in the westbound lanes of the Eisenhower, near Mannheim, just after 11 p.m. Sunday. A woman and 2-year old were inside the car at the time. The woman drove the man to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries. No one is in custody.
