(CHICAGO) Senator Dick Durbin’s take is to advise both sides to cool it.
“The president’s not looking for advice from me for sure, but I would say in this dangerous world we don’t need dangerous rhetoric from either side.” Durbin says, “Name-calling isn’t appropriate on the playground and it certainly isn’t appropriate in the United Nations. We ought to be showing the kind of restraint and dignity that wins global support for the United States’ position. Calling the leader of North Korea Rocket Man is not consistent with that goal.”
But the current president is not expected to take that advice.
