(CHICAGO) We still love the SUV and bought a lot of them last month, “Again, we saw small SUVs – the growth continues. They came in about 22% of the industry last month and it was quite a bit stronger than a year ago when the small SUV segment represented just under 20% of the industry,” said Ford U.S. Sales Analyst Erick Merkle.
Merkle says the SUVs in addition to their truck sales helped them with a 6% year-over-year sales gain.
Due to a plunge in fleet sales, Fiat Chrysler sales dropped 13% in October. GM fell 2% though it still beat analyst expectations. Honda, Nissan, and Toyota sales were up.
