(CHICAGO) Whaddya think? Does Mayor Rahm Emanuel turning up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and suing the Trump administration on national issues mean he’s angling to run for president or vice president in 2020?
He’s again denying it and joking about. “Came home, we were having dinner and Amy said – I know I’m going to get in trouble with Amy doing this – this is a joke – Amy said, a lot of people talking, chattering about (you) running for president. She said, you just better think about getting a second wife if that happens. I said I talked to her already and she said no, so I have to come back to you! It was a joke! I said it was a joke. I did the dishes that night to get out of the dog house. No, not interested. I love this job.”
No one doubts Rahm loves the job of mayor, but that doesn’t mean he could absolutely say no to a presidential candidate who would ask him to be his or her attack dog running-mate.
