(CHICAGO) Now that President Trump’s first State of the Union Address is in the books, it’s time for the State of the State address to be delivered at noon today by Governor Bruce Rauner at the Capitol in Springfield.
Democrats were giving pre-act to Rauner’s State of the State Tuesday afternoon.
State Comptroller Susanna Mendoza said the state of the state is worse, saying “Governor Rauner has a chronic inability to tell the truth or take responsibility for the problems he’s created. He’s lied to taxpayers, lied to the press. He’s even lied to a cardinal. Gov Rauner cannot be trusted. He’s failed taxpayers. He’s failed the state. And under Bruce Rauner the state of the state is worse.”
Governor Rauner might even agree that the state of the state is worse in some respects, but he blames Speaker Mike Madigan for that.
