(CHICAGO) Here on the day after former Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy announced for mayor, Mayor Emanuel’s campaign is out with a new web ad attacking McCarthy.
So far Rahm has been careful not to personally respond to the top cop he fired, but his campaign is using the web ad to try to tie McCarthy to Donald Trump.
“Announcer: Mayoral candidate Garry McCarthy has a very big fan.
Trump: The head of the police in Chicago is a person I know. He’s a phenomenal guy!”
Here on WLS this morning, McCarthy predicted Rahm would try to tie him to Trump and brushed it off as a an attempt by the mayor to distract people from the mayor’s record.
