Two decades ago the Supreme Court ruled that companies who ship to states without a physical presence in that state, do not need to collect sales tax.
Now more than 40 states are claiming that they lose billions, forcing them to cut programs.
The case is now before the Court and justices Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas and Anthony Kennedy have indicated that they could reconsider the old ruling.
