(CHICAGO) The City Council meets today and the Final Four Loyola Ramblers will get a tribute from the mayor and the aldermen.
No word whether Sister Jean will be on hand.
Then the aldermen will be tripling the double-parking fine downtown from $100 up to $300. They’ll be ordering retailers who sell tobacco to put up another warning sign. It tells consumers e-cigarettes and flavored smokes can be dangerous.
They’ll confirm Sydney Roberts to be the new chief of the Civilian Office of Police Accountability.
Also on the agenda, O’Hare terminal leases, more pay equity & anti-sexual harassment initiatives and another $6 mllion of legal settlements.
