(CHICAGO) State Representative Lou Lang has denied sexually harassing activist Maryann Loncar, but one Republican State Rep begs to disagree.
Lou Lang says Loncar’s allegations are absurd, but State Rep Margo McDermed from Mokena says there’s a bigger issue here.
“It’s all about power. It’s all about power all the time,” McDermed said, “Governing, if any, is secondary. And when you have a system that’s all about power, there’s going to be all kinds of bullying which you see demonstrated here. There is sexual bullying, There is political bullying. There’s racial bullying. There is every kind of power politics being played out in the Illinois House.”
McDermed says it should be about the power of the ideas, not the political power that you hold.
