A new report is revealing some positive news when it comes to cigarette smoking here in the U.S.
The Centers for Disease Control reports just under 14% of Americans smoked last year, making it the lowest level ever recorded. That’s also down from the previous year’s 16%. In cities, the rate was 11%, twice the number that’s being reported in rural areas. For perspective, 50 years ago, more than 40% of Americans were smokers.
