(CHICAGO) — University of Chicago police have sent out a safety alert after several pedestrians were robbed or attacked near campus.
Since Friday, police say there have been three separate incidents in Hyde Park.
In the first instance, police say a person walking on the sidewalk was approached and grabbed by three suspects who took the victim’s cell phone and wallet before taking off in a silver SUV.
In the second incident, a suspect left an off-campus apartment building and slashed a victim with a knife. A suspect was taken into custody.
In the third incident, two suspects got out of a vehicle and took an iPhone from a jogger. Police say the suspects got into a white sedan and took off.
