The White House banned a CNN reporter from a Rose Garden event on Wednesday, after asking President Trump questions deemed “inappropriate”.
Reporter Kaitlan Collins had asked questions about Vladimir Putin and Trump lawyer Michael Cohen while serving as ‘pool reporter’ at a photo op session.
Afterwards, White House offcials including press secretary Sarah Sanders told Collins her questions were ‘inappropriate’ and banned her from a later press event.
CNN called banning “retaliatory” and “not indicative of an open and free press.”
Even Fox News stood up for Collins, saying it stands in “strong solidarity for CNN”.
