(CHICAGO) Bail has been denied for a Chicago man who is facing felony charges after, police say, he punched a stranger and bit off part of his ear.
Donnell Young, 53, was arrested last Thursday after, authorities say, he punched a man in the back of the head and bit off part of his left ear because was upset that the man said he did not have a cigarette to give him.
It happened just before 7 a.m. on the 100 block of South Michigan Avenue in front of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Young is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery and will remain in custody until his next court appearance on August 9th.
The victim was treated at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
