(CHICAGO) Illinois’ Senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, both Democrats, have come up with new ways to disparage Thursday’s Kavanaugh hearing.
Durbin is dumping on the Republicans for ducking their own questioning of Dr. Ford by hiring a woman sex crimes expert to do it for them, “They have chosen an experienced prosecutor of sex crimes, but I’ll tell ya one thing for sure. This prosecutor has never walked into a courtroom without an investigative file.”
And Duckworth, the disabled Iraq war veteran, says the Kavanaugh image Republicans are trying to spin reminds her of something, noting “He was a good soldier defense. He could not possibly have done that. He’s a family man. He has children. He has daughters. And then we found out that truly these are actual aggressors, actual predators and that the assault actually happened.”
