India and Russia quietly struck an arms deal on Friday that could lead to consequences from Washington.
India made a deal to buy S-400 surface-to-air missile systems during a summit between Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The U.S. has threatened sanctions against any countries that makes arms deals with Russia. Sanctions on China over a similar deal were imposed last month.
