Panthers safety Eric Reid took a knee during the national anthem in his first game back in the NFL.
Reid, who knelt alongside Colin Kaepernick during the 2016 season, went unsigned during the offseason and claimed he was being blackballed. The Panthers signed him last week, and Reid said on Monday that he hadn’t yet decided if he would be taking a knee.
So far this season, kneeling protests have been rare, with Reid joining only Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson of the Dolphins in doing so this year.
