The city of Columbus, Ohio won’t be celebrating Columbus Day on Monday – they’re going to celebrate America’s veterans instead.
Government offices will be open for business on Monday, and Mayor Andrew Ginther says city employees will be given Veterans Day, Nov. 12th, off instead.
Ginther says it was important to honor the many veterans who work for the city, and says the budget doesn’t allow employees to get both days off.
