A male penguin couple at the Sydney Zoo in Australia has welcomed a baby chick into their lives.
Sydney’s Sea Life Aquarium says the sub-Antarctic Gentoo weighed 91 grams and was born on October 19th.
Magic and Sphen became an item in the news earlier this month when aquarium staff entrusted them an egg. This came after a successful trial with a dummy egg.
Aquarium official Tish Hannan says the two male penguins became a couple before the 2018 breeding season.
