The Boston Red Sox are World Series champions, but the team hasn’t yet decided if it will be visiting the White House.
Manager Alex Cora, who has criticized President Trump in the past, has said he will accept whatever decision the team makes, and that he wants to use this platform “the right way”. Red Sox owner John Henry has said he expects the team will make the visit.
The Super Bowl champion Eagles and NBA champion Warriors both declined White House visits, which earned the ire of President Trump.
