The Boy Scouts of America are changing their name to Scouts BSA as the organization prepares to allow girls into its membership. But now they’re being sued over that name change – by the Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts of the USA claims that using the term “scout” in connection with “leadership development services for girls” violates their trademark. They even say some families are confused, thinking the two organizations are merging or that the Girl Scouts are going away.
Beginning in February, the Boy Scouts will accept girls into its ranks in all age groups.
