
The death toll in what officials are calling the most destructive wildfire in the history of California reached 25 on Sunday β and itβs not expected to stop there.
The massive blaze, which began at opposite ends of the state, has already torched nearly 400 square miles of land. More than 8,000 firefighters have been working day and night to control the fire.
Of the 25 bodies that have been found, 23 were residents of Paradise in Northern California. The entire town β including some 6,700 homes β has been reduced to ash in recent days.
