Looks like we’re getting more information about where Amazon will build their second headquarters. Sources say that the everything in your life giant will split the operations between New York City and just outside Washington DC.
The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that NYC’s Long Island City neighborhood and Arlington County’s Crystal City will be the locations, which could bring as many as 50,000 jobs to the area.
Amazon required HQ2 to be built in an urban or suburban locale with at least one million people, a mass transit system, and proximity to a major airport.
Proposals rolled in from 54 North American states and provinces. Of the 238 entries, 20 were selected as finalists in the year-long search.
