(CHICAGO) Former Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy is talking up his solutions to crime in the wake of yesterday and today’s shootings.
McCarthy says he’s not surprised Chicago didn’t get the second Amazon headquarters because he says it’s too dangerous to be here.
“The police are not the problem in our society. The criminals are! But you wouldn’t know it in this environment would you? Here we are two days in a row with police officers shot.”
McCarthy said again a big part of the solution is to put criminals caught twice with illegal guns in prison for a very long time.
