A new report from the federal government says the effects of climate change are getting worse, and that we’re not doing enough to stop it.
The report said the Global average temperature has risen 1.8 degrees since 1901, and blames “human activities, especially emissions of greenhouse gases” for the trend.
The report also says climate change could begin to affect the U.S. economy, bringing as much as a 10 percent reduction in GDP in the coming decades.
A climate report is released every four years by the federal government. Environmentalists have accused the Trump administration of ‘burying’ the report by releasing it on Black Friday.
