Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who testified that she was assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, thanked her supporters in a note published Monday.
Ford said she felt ‘grateful to have had the opportunity to fulfill my civic duty’, and is ‘in awe’ of the people who have shared similar stories.
Ford said her decision to testify “caused disruption to our lives”, including death threats. A GoFundMe page has raised over $647,000 for Ford to help pay for security costs and other expenses.
