The Chairman of the California Democratic Party is stepping down amid accusations of sexual misconduct.
Multiple staffers claim that Bauman harassed or assaulted them at official party functions. Vice-Chair Daraka Larimore-Hall called the allegations “credible, corroborated, and utterly heart-breaking”, although details of what happened have not been made public.
Bauman says he is taking a leave of absence and looks forward to “putting these allegations behind us and moving forward as unified Democrats”.
