Rider University in New Jersey won’t be letting Chick-fil-A set up shop on campus.
The university removed the restaurant from a student survey about eating options because of Chick-fil-A’s “record widely perceived to be in opposition to the LGBTQ community.”
Chick-fil-A’s corporate purpose is to “glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us.”
Rider realizes that this might seem like exclusionary but they are holding to their campus values of inclusion. The university will hold a forum to discuss the issue. Chick-fil-A has yet to comment on the decision.
