(CHICAGO) — Thousands of people remain without power after the winter storm that swept through Sunday night into Monday morning.
ComEd customers are still in the dark in parts of Cook DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties.
And no power for some means no heat with some people opting to stay in hotels.
Com Ed crews continue to work to restore power, but some are being told that service may not be restored until Wednesday. As of Tuesday afternoon there were still some 36,000 com-ed customers without power.
